The assignment:
Classic Car House Copenhagen assigned me to create a timeline for an exhibition on “The Incredible Journey of the Car,” guiding visitors through automotive history in a visually compelling way.
The goal:
Creating a 50-meter engaging experience highlighting iconic cars, key inventors, and groundbreaking inventions, providing educational insight, historical context, and visual excitement.
The approach:
By using a variety of large, bold fonts as visual anchors along the timeline, a calm beige background, bright orange highlights, and an image style inspired by old-school collage art, the design immediately captures the viewer’s attention. The split timeline places car history on top and historical milestones below, creating a clear visual focus for the whole journey for the visitors.
